In 2005, Johan made an extraordinary decision. He purchased for preservation purposes a 400,000-acre tract of rainforest in the heart of the Amazon rainforest near the Madeira River.
Johan has also launched the FIS Rainforest Initiative, a project that invests in rainforest conservation.
